Greetings Hello,
Frohes Neues Jahr! Happy New Year!
Just a reminder, the FREE INTRO TO BEEKEEPING seminar is Saturday, January 27th at the Olive Free Library. Send the info to those you know interested in bees. Also good for those 1-2 years into keeping bees, because you have a lot of questions. And Rob is the guy to ask questions of.
PLEASE POST THE FLYER OR THE WEBPAGE ON YOUR BEEKEEPING FACEBOOK PAGES AND ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA. SPREAD THE WORD! https://hvhives.com/intro-to-beekeeping-seminar/ This is important. Download the picture below to post. Please get it out on Social Media so a new group can enter the Wonderful World of Beekeeping on the right foot.
Also, Bug Rob to have the next Bee Group meeting. You will soon want to peek in the hives, observe their behaviors now, and mostly look to feed well before spring. BTW, I heard it is Rob's birthday at the next meeting, so we want to have that next meeting asap. ;-)

Beltsville Lab: If your bees die, God Forbid!, please send a sample to the Beltsville Lab in Maryland. The analysis is free and they will email you the results. They check for Nosema and Mites. I sent a sample down a month ago and my hive was loaded with mites -- in December! Please share results with Rob,Tom and the BeeGroup so we can help keep tabs on what is happening in the 'hood. Thanks! CLICK HERE for details on how to submit a sample.
