Dear reader,

I hope everyone had a joyous holiday season and a happy new year.  I have been getting questions on when our next Beegroup meeting will be. So I am sending out this quick newsletter to let everyone know that our first meeting will be Monday, February 19th.

In the meantime if you need to get your beekeeping fix,  I have started regularly blogging a "Beekeeping for Everyone" series on Steemit.com.   The objective is to take beekeeping to people who have no intention to keep bees but are fascinated by them.  The more people we can educate on honeybees, the better.   You can check out the latest post HERE

Likewise, if you are a twitter user,  I have also started actively posting on a Twitter alternative called Sola.   You can follow me HERE.

I encourage everyone to checkout Steemit and Sola and consider signing up and join into the discussions.  They are Free!  I'm starting a little slow because it is winter,  but it will pick up come spring.

If you have any topics, ideas, or questions, feel free to contact us at BeeGroup@HVHiives.com.

Hudson Valley Hives is a beekeeping group that meets at the Olive Free Library on a monthly basis and discuss all things beekeeping. The meeting is driven by members questions and sharing experiences with the goal of spreading timely knowledge among fellow beekeepers. It is very informal and we welcome anyone interested to participate. If you are just thinking about getting started in beekeeping, a new beekeeper, or a seasoned beekeeper, you will benefit from the group discussions.  There is no membership fee. The Olive Free Library graciously provides a meeting place for our group and we encourage you to make a donation to the library if you find the BeeGroup helpful.
